Learn to make cutscenes in unity3d by building a stealth Game.
Objective: Challenge - Black Fade to Alpha.
In the first step, create a canvas with an image and rename the image Camera_fade_to Alpha and put the canvas to the Game Over Cutscene. Make sure to choose UI scale mode to Scale with Screen Size.
In the following step, set the image color to be full black then, stretch Camera_fade_to Alpha to fit the full game screen by using the anchor tool by pressing the right click and holding ctrl + alt.
In the next step, create an animation track and take the Camera_fade_to Alpha to the field of the animation track by dragging and dropping it in the animation track field. Then create an animator on Camera_fade_to Alpha by choosing the pop-up which says “create animator on Camera_fade_to Alpha”.
Hit the record button, now adjust the opacity of Camera_fade_to Alpha a little bit to get the first frame then go to half a second then reduce the alpha to zero. After doing those steps stop recording.
This is how Camera_fade_to Alpha is created for a cutscene.
