Quest 2 Setup.

Objective: Quest 2 Setup.

In the first step when you turn on your meta Quest hit the blue arrow to go to the following setting. I can’t show you OBS is not working for me, this has been about 3 years or more of trying to use it but nothing seems to work, I am sorry.

Note: When you start to use Oculus Quest, you may run into an issue where a loading screen stays forever.

1. To solve the loading screen restart the meta quest, if the problem is still there turn off and turn on.
2. The next solution is to reset your quest 2, to do this turn off your meta quest first, then hold the down(-) volume button and power button simultaneously, then choose factory reset, to navigate use the volume button, and then choose yes by pressing the power button. ( This is how I solve my Quest loading screen error).

In the Second step choose language, then click the blue arrow, this will bring the Check clarity option to adjust the version. Then click the blue arrow to move to the next step.

The next step will come option “Please Stay seated for Setup”, press the continue button. Then select your network, and add a password, and click done.

In the next step, it will play a video for more information, then it will start to update Quest 2.

Note: Make sure you charge your quest till it finishes, avoid canceling the update it may cause your quest to not boot correctly when you turn it on again and may lead you to reset it again in order to work again.

Now, download the Meta Quest app and create an account.

Connecting Meta Quest 2 with the App

In this step open the Meta app, enable location and Bluetooth, then choose Meta Quest 2. This will detect the code automatically from your Quest 2 device and confirm it has connected.

Wear your headset, it will display an option that says, “Create your boundary” Click continues.

Note: I wasn't able to record my VR headset with obs, I will add a GIF later on when I find another way to record my VR headset.

After pressing continue it pops the option to confirm floor level. You need to move your controller to the floor if the grid does not align with the floor then click confirm.

In the Drawing room scale boundary, since am not playing I want to develop an app, I will choose to Switch to Stationary boundary and then hit confirm.

Now you will be given simple instructions to reset the view just follow the instructions, Last click the meta button the popup will bring the meta main menu.
